Discarded Beauty

The human figure in the landscape is an image that has always been seen as classic beauty while death is an everyday occurrence that looms. After death we are faced with the question how the human body will be disposed of and its location. With the problems happening around the world paying closer attention to the Mexican- American border where death, execution, abduction and even torture are happening daily beauty is challenged by the presence of the discarded body as an intruder or accident found. I introduce this idea by twisting the form into a position of discomfort in areas we normally would ignore to look at but pass by everyday. While pushing my own body in these positions I am able to face my fears of ever discovering a dead body. However, still I find myself attracted to these crime scenes and the progression that goes into discarding a body.
